Alcoholics Anonymous - DISTRICT 5
A.A. Primary Purpose
"The primary purpose of any A.A. group is to carry the A.A. message to alcoholics. Experience with alcohol is one thing all A.A. members have in common. It is misleading to hint or give the impression that A.A. solves other problems or knows what to do about drug addiction."
-AA Group pamphlet page 18
Struggling With Alcohol?
If you are struggling with alcohol, the first step is recognizing you need help. At Alcoholics Anonymous, we know exactly how you feel. Our Central Office hotline is open 24/7 and ready to talk.
Is A.A. For You?
Only you can decide whether you want to give Alcoholics Anonymous a try and whether you think it can help you. We who are in A.A. came because we finally gave up trying to control our drinking.
Find A Meeting
Going to an A.A. meeting is simple. You can find where and when there is a meeting convenient for you and you just show up. That’s it. There’s no signing in, no dues or fees, no appointment to make.

Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC) Meeting - CPC Packet Making Party Success!
On Saturday, April 23rd we had a CPC healthcare professional packet making party at the Bend Downtown Library. I’d like to thank everyone who showed up to be of service! It was a great success. We made over 130 packets to help educate our healthcare professionals about what A.A. is and is not. A.A.’s primary purpose is alive and well in Central Oregon!
Thank you for letting me be of service.

About A.A. District 5
In general, our mission is to connect A.A. groups in our area with each other and to A.A. groups across the country. We are also here to help our local A.A. group’s with their growth and well-being.
About General Service Rep
The General Service Representative (GSR) has the job of linking his or her home group with AA as a whole. It is probably the most important position an A.A. member can hold and equally as rewarding.
